The GEORGE HUTCHINS for U.S. Congress 2010 Campaign wants to create better working conditions for ALL North Carolina Employees, which WILL create better prosperity of all industries in North Carolina, and nationwide. In respect to employee rights, ONE MAJOR ISSUE, is the right of an Employee, after working for 55 minutes while standing up, be allowed to sit for five minutes, or to be allowed to sit, when the services of the employee are NOT needed while standing, during the course of a FULL-TIME Job or PART-TIME Job. => There are countless jobs which can be done while sitting, rather than standing, where the job is conducted, at the same or even better level of production, and at the same, or even at a higher QUALITY of service. This is a very serious issue, because there are countless leg joint injuries which are the DIRECT result of prolonged periods of standing, WITHOUT a break, during countless hours, each day, over the period of several years. This will NOT harm production because an employee can jump to service, when service is required by standing up. In such a work environment, Employees will call in sick less often, be more effective in their work, and stay with the company much longer. This will be a great savings to each company due to reduced re-training of NEW EMPLOYEE Costs, and reduced absent from work employees, due to illness. On The Issue of LABOR UNIONS: [-1-] NO industry in North Carolina will require any applicant to join a Labor Union, for a condition of employment, NOR for a condition of Promotion. [-2-] The SECRET BALLOT must remain valid throughout North Carolina. [-3-] Labor Unions must demonstrate they are NOT Influenced, NOR Controlled by Organized Crime. [-4-] Labor Unions must NOT have scheduled Strikes, where a Labor Strike must take place during a scheduled period of time, even without a Just Cause. [-5-] Labor Unions must NOT FORCE any single Employee to go on strike, against his will, other than a termination from the Labor Union, if he decides NOT to go on Strike, during a legal labor strike. Employees in North Carolina do have rights. The George Hutchins for U.S. Congress 2010 Campaign wants to work for better prosperity for both Labor and Management, throughout North Carolina. There are times, even in the service industry, when the employee needs a form of representation, when Employee Rights Issues are raised. This is what Clean Legal Labor Unions are for.
