We need to rely on our own resources first, instead of sending all this money to foriegn nations, who hold Americans in complete contempt in many situations.

A few years ago there was a book published, and then taken out of print, about the coverup of the existence of a very large oil reserve on the North Slope of Alaska, enough oil to supply the United States for two centuries. If we had this kind of energy independence then all our dependence on Middle East oil reserves would be a thing of the past.

Of course, a lot of powerful people would not want that to happen because they would not be powerful people anymore.

What about global warming and pollution?

It has NOT been determined with TOTAL Scientific proof, whether Global Warming has been caused by the actions of industry, or if the world is warming up by forces which have NOTHING to do with the actions of humans.

There are a number of Conservative Organizations which believe the world is heating up due to forces of nature, and NOT due to the forces of mankind.

"Cap & Trade," has been denounced by most Conservative Organizations as an unfair tax to admit carbons into the air.

On record, America has a number of anti-polutions laws which just need to be enforced, which would keep the environment clean, WITHOUT further legislation creation, for the most part.

Each citizen should take individual actions NOT to polute the environment on a daily basis.

There is no such thing as total scientific proof. Science always considers, and reconsiders, whether or not what we know is wrong. But when the world's leading scientific institutions have been telling us for years that the average temperature of the earth is heating up, and that human activity is most likely the cause, that bears some serious consideration.
