It was a twist of Fate, when entering the U.S. Regular Army for a Second Time, with the goal of becoming a Commissioned Career U.S. Regular Army Officer, where I received orders to report to Germany, following U.S. Army enlisted training in America, during February, 1989, with the promise to attend OCS, Officer Candidate School, after finishing a required tour of Duty in Germany.

As a fluent GERMAN SPEAKER during 1989, and to this date, I relished the idea, during 1989, to first serve the U.S. Army in Germany, and then go before an OCS Board, which would have approved my application due to all of the NCO and Officer Support I had, in addition to, other hard earned credentials.

One historic event led to later joining the U.S. MARINE CORPS.

=> EXACTLY 20 YEARS AGO, yesterday, the Berlin Wall Opened, on November 9, 1989.

The Berlin Fell in Stages, between November 9, 1989 - October 5, 1990.

As the Berlin Wall was falling in stages, I entered Berlin, Germany, for the first time during March, 1990. 

It is great for the people of Eastern Europe were FREE FROM COMMUNISM, when the COLD WAR came to a complete halt in 1992, which changed the lives of countless millions, to include Americans Seeking U.S. Regular Army Commissioned Officer Careers.

=> By 1992, countless U.S. Regular Army Officer slots were nullified, and the U.S. Regular Army went into down-sizing throughout the year 1997.

To this date, I believe it was best that I became a full-time U.S. Marine 1996 - 2000, and resided in several overseas locations on private travels, and private overseas residents.
